Telefunken ECC801S
Is there a reference 12AT7 tube? I would say the Telefunken ECC801S is probably the strongest contender. I only have one of these, dated 1965, but Audiophiles seem to concur that it is at the very top of the list of the best sounding 12AT7 of all times, especially for pre-amps and DACS. What a find http://www.tejastubes.com/telefunken-ecc801s/

Western Electric 422A
If your vacuum tube gear takes a 5U4GB, then you owe it to yourself to do some research on the Grandaddy of all 5U4GB vacuum tube rectifiers, the Western Electric 422A (these were made in 1956). I consider these to be the Holy Grail and the best sounding 5U4GB tube hands down! http://www.tejastubes.com/nos-western-electric-422a/

Vaccum Tubes
Welcome to NOS Vacuum Tubes
Sponsored by the folks at www.tejastubes.com!
For our first post we will share a much deserved post for a not so commonly used audio tube, the 5965 tube!
Nice long grey plates, triple mica spacers, built in the early 1960's! These are used in Conrad Johnson, Manley, and other fine vacuum tube gear! It is a special quality 10,000 version of the 12AV7 tube!
